Fight the Power

Twenty one years ago 'Fight the Power' by Public Enemy was released. It's just as relevant today as it was then as every government in the world still needs to be put in its place by the people. For example, today in Belfast there is a protest against the 'Public Assemblies Bill'. Essentially this bill proposes that any public gathering with more than 50 people must request permission at least 37 days beforehand. If this law existed last year, the protest outside City Hall in reaction to the renewed violence of the CIRA would have been an illegal protest. The protest in support of immigrants who were being forced out of their homes would have been illegal. There are people who can word this better. Like Chuck D and Flava Flav.

Stand up and tell the world we don't want fascist, draconian laws. Fight the power people.
